Michael Barone

Michael Barone is the Owner and President of Sofio’s Custom Clothiers & Tailors. He joined his father’s tailoring business in 2007 after graduating from George Mason University with a degree in business management. From a two-person father and son partnership, Michael grew the company with a variety of business development and marketing initiatives, sustaining 20% year-on-year growth. In 2014, Sofio’s moved to a 5,000 square foot store in the heart of Tysons Corner, supporting the largest tailoring facility in the region. Sofio’s offers men’s and women’s custom clothing, custom shoes, alterations, shoe shine and shoe repair services. Sofio’s was named “Best Tailor” by Northern Virginia magazine in 2014 and “Best Of” Tysons Corner by DC Modern Luxury Magazine in 2015.

 

Dr. Michael Mort

Dr. Mort has been an Engineer, Entrepreneur, Novelist, and Attorney. He earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University. He turned that research into a product idea and started a software company, grew it during the 1990s, then negotiated the company’s sale, and stayed on to preside over the merged organization for several more years before moving on. Throughout the lifecycle of his own company, Dr. Mort used several advisors, some valuable, some not so much. He realized that advisors help the most when they can bring outside industry experiences to bear on issues the entrepreneur faces so he became a business attorney and now serves as Legal Business Counsel to a number of small to medium sized businesses in Northern Virginia. He loves to use his education and experience to guide other entrepreneurs along the path from ideas to wealth through the planned monetization of patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.

Heidi O’Leska

Heidi O’Leska has developed brands and marketing strategies for clients in the hospitality,technology, financial, medical, non-profit and retail industries since 1994. In 2004, Heidi started her own branding agency. Vintage Juice Brand Marketing focuses on developing distinct brands that always communicate “What’s In It For Me?” to their audience. With that foundation, she is able to help clients bear fruit in all of their marketing endeavors. Vintage Juice develops comprehensive social media strategies for clients, designs and develops websites, and provides ongoing SEO.

 

Heidi is a native of Fairfax, VA. She earned her MBA in Marketing while living in San Francisco. A self-proclaimed foodie, most evenings you will find her cooking up a new concoction and matching it with the perfect wine. When not cooking, she is practicing… She is the drummer in the worship band at West City Fellowship in Arlington, VA. Heidi is also part of the leadership team of McLean Prospects BNI and enjoys every Friday afternoon at the Working Women Bible Study in Tysons Corner.
